School…

Welp, I guess this is it. It’s time to pay off my debts, say my goodbyes, and get my affairs in order. I’m officially leaving the school.

Before you assume anything, let me give you an insider’s view of what’s going on. For the past year, I’ve been having a lot of trouble staying focused on school. Last semester I set a school record with a 0.9GPA. This was not because I lacked the intelligence to pass classes, it was more along the lines of lacking the motivation to GO to classes. I love FSB, the classes, the teachers and the people. But it’s long been time for me to move on. I’ve just been dragging this out by staying in school. I’ve also been battling depression for a number of reasons (which I assure you are no one’s fault but my own), and I believe that has had something to do with it.

So what now? Well, I’m moving home this weekend, and then I plan on working with my dad in his new hardwood flooring business, the Hardwood Cafe. As for a ministry, I would focus on ministering to my peers (including a few students here at school), by being there for them to talk to and get advice or encouragement from. I am also toying with the idea of getting a job at a Bible school in Italy (That I visited last winter) and spending a year in language school. Then I would look into different missionary organizations to Italy. It’s a very exciting time in my life, because the world is laid open before me. It’s finally time for me to expand my horizons and move into new areas of work and ministry. I’m so excited.

Well, it’s lunch time. Have a wonderful day, and, in the words of Larry the Cucumber: “Remember, God made you special, and He loves you very much. G’byyyye!”
