Stevish 2 Final!!! finally…
It’s official! The Stevish 2 Final theme (for WordPress 1.5) (screenshot) is avaliable for download. There is a ton of new features jam packed into this one little theme, but instead of telling you about all of them, I’ll just tell you the one I’m the happiest about: WORKING TRANSPARENT BACKGROUNDS IN INTERNET EXPLORER!!!. It took me two full days of frustrating research and php nightmares, but I finally found a way to get it to work while maintaining a site with valid CSS and XHTML.
As usual, I can’t take all the credit for this milestone success (as I see it). I have to thank once again for all his ideas and guidance. It was while on the phone with him that I discovered how to finally get the IE transparency working perfectly. So thanks again,. I also have to thank A List Apart for the coding help. The page in that link is a great resource for info on how to make PNG files transparent in IE. Getting your code to validate however, is a whole ‘nother animal, which I will post about in the near future.
I best be off now. My little brother and I are going to rent Fat Albert. Have fun!

Good job!
Now you just need to let us know the down and dirty on how you did it.

I am loving the new background. It is so airy, like fresh laundry or a summer rain….serenely obscure yet poetically certain.

I love this theme, but I’m having a strange problem adapting it. I’ve created a new “centerbg.gif” file and uploaded it to the image directory, but when I activate the theme, I still see YOUR centerbg.
Any idea how that could be happening — or even possible?!?

In IE, any idea why there is no slider bar to drag up and down when the window is minimized? The window must be a minimum size before the slider bar appears.

AlphaOmega Theme
I’ve changed the default theme, the background graphics, to AlphaOmega (adapted from Stevish 2 almost as-is).
If you prefer the older Blue Swirly theme (or you *still* see the Blue Swirly theme and want to see the AlphaOmega theme), thereR…
