Flood

Camp is definitely getting hectic! Today was the first day I worked on a project by myself. I’m working on building new counselor beds. The current ones are definitely in need of replacement.

It’s really cool being part of the designing and planning of camp stuff, even if it’s something as simple as how to build the counselor beds. It makes me feel important and useful. That’s a good feeling.

It rained a lot today. I learned something about camp today because of this rain: All the dirt on camp property can flow into the lake in 5 minutes if it rains hard enough. I had always heard about mud slides… So much for that new dirt up by the new building.

We also made a new pond when the drain by the loading dock got clogged by all the mud. For those of you who have been here, the entire driveway, and the sidewalk leading to the door to the office were completely under water. It was pretty exciting.

lol, my back yard growing up was the exact same way! It would rain, hard, and I would dance in the puddles and the next day, our yard would be at the bottom of our neighborhood street! Yucky! We never had any grass to speak of!
    Have an awesome day! 🙂
