79th Annual
So I think it’s funny that they refer to the Acadamy Awards this year as the 79th Annual Acadamy Awards Ceremony. Yeah, you do it every year… we know. Maybe if I was 89 and got amnesia and lost all memory back to the time I was 10, then I wouldn’t know they held them yearly. It’s like saying that today is the 87,920th weekly Wednesday, or that my 24th birthday was in the 1,686th annual February, on the 20,233rd 12th. I get the feeling that the words “79th annual” are more to make it sound fancy than to provide information.
I dunno, that’s my 0.0152 Euros worth

what is up with the term new and improved? If it is new, how can it be improved?
Or Brand new? Brand adds nothing to new….
Strange people.

I rounded the euros to the 100th of a cent, give me a break. That’s still 2 US cents if you round it to the thousanth of a US cent

I’m sure eventually they’ll have to do away with the numbers. I can’t imagine them saying, “And now, the 1,256th Annual Acadamy Awards Ceremony.” Using the numbers makes them feel grown up; more prestigious.
