Home Sweet Home!
My parents’ house
Rachel’s parents’ house
TJ’s house
Camp
These are all the places I’ve referred to with the name “home” in the span of the last three or four months. Well NO MORE!!!
As of one week ago today, Rachel and I have a new home! A home all to ourselves, that has all of our stuff in it (as opposed to living out of a suitcase, or using someone elses closet), and from which we will not leave in the next few months.
Although it is amazing to have a place to ourselves, I gotta say unpacking isn’t very much fun. Both Rachel and I are working full time already, so we haven’t had much time and we’ve been unpacking only what we need/want right away.
I’m working with my dad doing hardwood flooring, and it’s nice to have something familiar… although we have a new work truck (The Ambulance), so I don’t know where everything goes yet. My dad and brother (Who was working for dad during the internship) have also come up with some new methods that are better/faster than how we used to do it, so I’ve had to learn some new stuff. But all in all, it’s still the same ol’ work, which is good and bad.
Rachel got a job at Renewal by Andersen. They’re a more expensive branch of Andersen Windows. It’s a temp job that (according to the boss there) may turn permanent. HAH! That’s what she thinks! Rachel hates the job, and is currently pursuing a job at Compassion International. She’s had an interview, and my sister-in-law who works there is very optomistic about her chances of getting the job. So am I. 🙂
In other news, I’m on the internet… on my computer… in my house. Yessiree bob, we are officially online! But don’t worry, we still have plenty of excuses for not updating regularly 😛
There’s your update, folks! Thanks for tuning in, and drop me a line on E-mail/facebook/xanga/stevish if you want.
Peath out, yo!

I’ve been sponsoring a child in Haiti through Compassion International for about 10 years now. Sounds like a neat place to work!
Congrats on the house. Have fun unpacking. 🙂

Good to have you guys close and be working together again.
About the work, I can’t imagine anything bad about that. You got in on the ground floor and have nailed every aspect of the business. It may take a little while to get back into the groove but at least you have a good boss who is understanding and wood never be too tough on you.
Welcome back.

Sound like fun man. Just don’t get lost at night quite yet. The neighbors might not be that familiar with you yet. lol
So when are you gonna have that open house to show off your new pad? 😛 Just kidding!! lol
