My Own Demise

Love for God,
Not what I’m living for,
Though I should,
Embrace Him more and more.
So much sin,
I live to please myself,
God loves me,
Yet my Bible’s on the shelf.
I want more just for me.
God lives here?
In me He can’t be seen.
God loves me,
Yet I push Him away.
For my sins did He pay.
Oh my Lord,
Forgive me of my sins,
In the end,
I know it’s God that wins.
